Throughout his career, Mario Péloquin has been a steadfast champion of public transportation and passenger rail. In recent years, VIA Rail has begun an important modernization, namely with the introduction of a brand-new fleet in the Corridor and the roll-out of a new reservation system. And VIA Rail is just getting started. The Corporation aims to achieve a profound transformation in the coming years. To drive this ambition, VIA Rail has developed a new strategic plan that lays the groundwork for its future aspirations. Through this five-year plan, the Corporation will focus on integrated mobility to open a new chapter in its history and further embody its role as a champion of passenger rail in the country.
